Working on Sol Being has been one of those projects that naturally evolved into something much deeper than branding and web design.
I first met Mon at a Run Escapes retreat, and from the beginning there was something incredibly calming and genuine about her presence. She has a way of making mindfulness feel accessible, grounded, and human rather than performative, which became such an important foundation for the work we created together.
Over time, our collaboration grew from conversations and ideas into the complete development of the Sol Being brand.
Together, we built out the full brand identity, including the visual direction, logo suite, tone of voice, and website experience. The goal was never to create something overly polished or clinical. Instead, the intention was to create a brand that felt soft, welcoming, reflective, and deeply connected to the experience Mon offers in real life.
Every part of the project was approached with intentionality.
The branding needed to feel calming without losing personality. The website needed to guide people gently through the experience while still functioning clearly and intuitively. The overall direction became a balance between emotional storytelling and strategic structure, allowing the brand to feel immersive while remaining accessible for users discovering Sol Being for the first time.
What made this project especially meaningful was being able to witness the brand come to life beyond the screen.
After building the identity and website, I later had the opportunity to attend and photograph Mon’s first Sol Being immersion weekend. Experiencing the retreat firsthand became a full-circle moment, seeing the same energy, warmth, and intention we had tried to communicate digitally unfold so naturally in person.
Watching women connect around campfires, move through guided meditations, climb mountains together, and share vulnerable conversations reminded me how powerful thoughtful branding can be when it genuinely reflects the heart of the person behind it.
The project itself moved incredibly organically because there was such a strong level of trust throughout the process. Mon always gave me space creatively while also having a clear emotional vision for what Sol Being represented, which allowed the brand to develop in a way that felt cohesive from start to finish.
Projects like Sol Being remind me that branding is never just about visuals.
It’s about translating feeling into experience. It’s about creating something that people can emotionally connect to before they even step into the room. And when that alignment happens successfully, the brand starts to feel less like a business and more like an extension of the person behind it.
